Rochdale Borough Council partner with Mi Ventures

We're delighted to announce that Rochdale Borough Council have partnered with Mi Ventures to offer residents and businesses of Rochdale access to our award-winning live chat business advice service.

Those based in Rochdale (with BL, M and OL postcodes) are now able to speak with professional business advisors online and in real-time* from the comfort of their home, office or whilst on the move. Whether it’s start-up advice or support for an existing small business that’s needed, our experienced advisors will be on hand to help.

As well as containing a wealth of business information including useful articles, templates and resources which can be downloaded, users of the service and website can also keep up-to-date with the latest news and events happening in the small business world – locally and afar.

Commenting on the partnership, Leader of Rochdale Borough Council, Cllr Richard Farnell, said:

“Despite the great financial challenges we face, we’ve continued to make small business support one of our key council priorities, because we know that a thriving business community will not only bring money into our borough, but also generate employment for our local residents.

“This fantastic new scheme will now join our business rates sale, our new start up grants and our free parking initiative to form one of the best small business support packages in the region.”

Mi Ventures won the ‘Future of Enterprise Support’ award at the National Enterprise Network awards 2014, an award that recognises ‘exceptional innovation’ in the enterprise industry.  Since then, the company has grown significantly with 4.8 million people across England now being able to access the service.  Director of Mi Ventures, Greg Thomas, said:

“We’re excited to be working with Rochdale Borough Council and it really is great to see another local authority taking such a proactive approach in how they are supporting local businesses.  This new partnership will hugely benefit those living in Rochdale as it now means they have access to a free, instant business advice platform.”
