First Line Managers Training Course

On this comprehensive course delegates will cover the six major skills sets relating to first line management: The six “must-have” skills sets for the first line manager are: Setting realistic and optimistic goals, communicating with confidence and clarity, time management and prioritisation skills, managing conflicts and arguments, managing your own self (self-confidence, self discipline, self-esteem, self-awareness), inspiring the rest of the team to move forward together, (ie Leadership skills.)

The comprehensive study programme enables participants to set and achieve their management goals, communicate better with the team and their superiors and manage time more effectively. By the end of the two training days, participants will be confident in dealing with conflict situations and difficult people and will truly inspire their team to grow and to stay positive.

  • Use the 'deadline' and the 'value' of the task to prioritise properly
  • Distinguish between 'busy-work' and being 'productive'
  • The P List: Planning, prioritisation, preparation and prevention
  • Handling interruptions and distractions
  • Proper delegation
  • How to better concentrate and focus
Day Two - Afternoon
  • Positive team atmosphere
